I'm a mum to three children, wife (to my husband of 18 years) and caretaker and lover of four cats, two dogs and three cheeky horses.
I was born in Broken Hill, NSW and raised living in the small country town of Wingham, before moving to Victoria in my teenage years.
From the age of 17 until just 6 years ago, my career was solely based in reception, secretarial and administration roles. Being highly creative my whole life, I felt incomplete and sought to find the real "me". Having planned my own wedding (and being a hopeless romantic at heart), I took a leap of faith and started By Country or by Sea (now known as Urban Vintage Events).
I started working from my double garage at home and quickly moved to an old shop space, located in Longwarry, which is brimming with rustic and vintage props and furniture - all beautiful, some quirky, recycled or upcycled.
Why rustic vintage props? Because they have character and a history - each piece charming and unique. They have the ability of turning the ordinary into extra-ordinary.
I now happily spend my days consulting with couples on their wedding day and sifting through antiques at op shops and vintage markets sourcing the perfect story-telling props.
